Exhaust

A bit battle scared now with all the cutting and welding, but getting there.

I messed up with the quarter pipe first time around and made it too wide to fit inside the

rear silencer space !, all fixed up now and fitted.

I set the adjustable sliding tube to max length and started up.

Straight away I could tell a difference, there was less “boominess”.

Off choke, the nice deep mellow burble was still there J

Off for a drive and I am pleasantly surprised !, the drone from 1500 to 2000 is very much reduced.

Overall the exhaust note is slightly quieter. So far very good result.

A check with the phone app confirms what I thought.

A bit more work on the cat back pipework.

Having bought a second hand std standard system to use as template, I’m getting to the stage now

I need to fit this to the car and connect it all up rather than all off jigs.

Well, another day’s work at the office…….stolen J

How does it sound now ?.........loud !, mellow, but loud. Only time will tell if I will get to like it, or

add some straight through bullet silencers. Maybe lots of time as I need to knuckle down to some

proper work in the shop now. I have to say that it does have a fantastic howl at full chat, and

thunder on overrun. Blipping the throttle for change down is very satisfying too.

Next on the list is book a dyno run to see if this mod is validated.
