Used a phone app to measure the drone frequency, so if this is telling the truth,

I guess around 130hz, worst drone from about 1500 to 2000rpm, right around 65/70mph

Found some time to rip open a mid box, not too surprised by what is inside….

The middle chamber looks to be HSV’s idea of a x-pipe.

Sound absorption material looks like it was thrown in from 20ft…..very hit and miss…

Poor quality stainless steel skin, mild steel baffle inners !

Redeeming feature was that it was a double skin wrapped box.

Cherry bomb looking silencers just after the mid box, exactly what the look like with perforated straight

through baffle tubes inside…….mild steel ??

Kinda gone off this x-pipe I made a while back

so made another from a single 90deg 3D radius mandrel bend.

A bit more conventional, I did purchase one from MIJ Exhausts but sent this back as was not

too happy with the wall thickness of tube they use.
