Finally I can get started with re-assembly !
My preferred method of mounting the cylinder head is first to lay the gasket onto the block.  Don't forget
to apply sealant at the joint of the front cover and block.

Protect with cloth or similar and lay wooden blocks that I can then rest the cylinder head onto.
The head is quit heavy, sometimes it will not locate easily, trying to hold it in position by hand can be very
difficult...............so..........

Positioning a engine support frame across the inner wings, then lift the head clear of the wooden blocks.

Remove the blocks, swing into position and thread timing chain up though the aperture.

I use 2 round dowel rods inserted through the head bolt holes and drop through into the threaded holes
in the block.

Quick check to make sure nothing is trapped.

Nearly there.

Last angle torque setting prior to warm up and final set.

Having already cleaned the tappets completely, I use Graphogen assembly paste on these and the
camshafts and caps prior to assembly. Squirt oil into all the oilways until you can see it dribble from
adjacent oil holes.
