Clutch Release Mechanism and Bell Housing

The following describes the final modifications I carried out while fitting the bell housing, fork, pin and friction disc.

First problem having already removed the gearbox was that the clutch fork pin retaining screw was very
tight, the socket head would have rounded straight away, so it was just as easy to pilot drill through to the thread
and then with a 8.5mm drill, enlarge until the head of the screw fell off. The bell housing cannot be removed until
this screw has been detached from the pivot pin. Normal "specialist" approach is to hammer the f**k out of it with
a cold chisel.

According to my service records the bell housing had been replaced within the last 12k, this was now quite evident
from the pristine condition of the bell housing and pin which was very securely fastened and properly located in the mount
hole. The "D" locating flat clearly visible.

No cracks in this bell housing.

The pivot pin nicely greased and plenty of it !.

The fork showing some battle scars.

The "T" piece showing minimal wear, at least it had one dose of lube ;-)
