Front Caliper Hoses

Next, return visit to the front calipers to replace the brake hoses, clamped the old hose, loosened the banjo bolt on
the caliper and where the hose joins the steel pipe. I can't clamp the new hoses, so I knew that until I had connected
both ends there was going to be a bit of brake fluid leaking !!!
Got the new hose connected to the steel pipe, but, when I connected the banjo to the caliper the banjo bolt would not
tighten up ! Checking with the old hose banjo revealed a difference of 3mm. I clamped off the new banjo end with a
short piece of heater hose and a G clamp, whilst I set about reducing the overall length of the banjo bolt.

I am not happy

with this and will be speaking to the supplier to see if they can offer a better solution for future sales.

With the hose diameter being smaller than the OE hoses, the retaining clips  don't work too well..........

Last thing to do was bleed any air out of the system, standard use of easybleed system, but this time an addition of a
vacuum pump to speed things along a little. Need a test drive, but brakes feel ok......ish, need to bed the rear pads....

Now, it was a good job that I got to look at the front calipers, because the pads were nearly worn out !!!, will have to replace
these before the next track day ;-)     and yes the brake wear sensors are cable tied to the inner wing and not used.........

Pistons look grubby, but as they are stainless steel, a quick dust of and they will be fine when
I replace the pads.
