Re-assembly

I fit the main seal first, simply pushes into place, the wiper seal fit into the retainer ring, then press the ring into place.

Actually quite difficult to get it to press in evenly all the way around, I used a G clamp with a flat plate.

Smear of red rubber grease, around the seals and also on the pistons.

I have heard that bleeding the rear brakes can be a problem, air can get trapped, so for these I filled each pot with

brake fluid, pushed the piston in (having given each piston leading edge a radius), then inverted the caliper and pushed

the piston in all the way, whilst shaking the caliper to allow the air to be pushed through and into the opposite pot, when

doing the opposite piston the air/brake fluid squeezes out of the brake line feed hole.

All in position.

I had to leave the nearside brake pipe feed connected, the union nut was beginning to round off, since I needed to undo

the steel pipe connection to replace the hose anyway...........
