- Engine Coolant Radiator
RAF Marham trackday testing
- Final test was a day at RAF Marham having a thrash
around a runway track.
Data logs recorded via IPAQ. From these I extracted data
for coolant temperature
and manifold air temperature. For direct comparison I have
included plots from 2
previous years at the same venue.
Coolant temperature plots:-

The first 2 plots show average temperture around 91.5degC,
the last plot
from the recent trackday shows the average has dropped
about 1degC.
Following plots are for the manifold temperatures (post
turbo).

- First of all the numbers from the data stream are not
linear to temperature,
- having plotted the numbers used in the ecu a approximate DegC scale
can
- be overlayed.
-
- Average Temps:-
- October 2005 45degC Ambient cool
- Sept 2006 49degC Ambient warm
- April 2007 39degC Ambient
warmer
- April 2007 46degC Ambient
hot (early afternoon)
- Later in the afternoon when temperatures had risen,
this plot shows
- MAT which is at similar levels to the previous years
plots where ambient
- temps were cooler.
