So I have a couple of choices now:-
- 1. Extensive repair work.
- 2. Buy new system from Vauxhall.....nls is a phrase that springs to mind here.....
- 3. Buy a new exhausts from Joe Ellis of BTB exhausts, very good quality system, but at £600 plus vat
- it's somewhat more than I can afford at this time.
- Ok, so it's option 1 and a couple of long days work.
- 1st job was to install new stainless steel baffle tubes in the mid silencers.
- Next the stainless steel wire wool to protect the wadding from the serious heat generated by the cats
- ......mmmm............. I'm taking them off anyway..............
Standard Browm bassalt wadding packed in next.
New outer stainless steel skin to close the hole.
Same for the rear box (decided to leave the baffle tubes in place as they were quite sound.)
