Central Bearing Housing

All of the oil entering the CBH should drain into this hole, down into the oil drain pipe and back into the sump.
The compressor end looks to have and easier job of draining away than then the turbine end.
The only improvement I can see here would be to round off the edges of the hole.

Oil drain into the main cavity from the outer end of the turbine end

Oil path to the seal ring and out to the exhaust.

Oil feed to the journal bearings, each journal has it's own feed.

Possible improvement to the main drain hole, round off the sharp edges and remove the casting ridge.

Oil coming down this slope is from the turbine end.

Using a 10mm diameter round carbide burr held in a drill which was in turn clamped in a vice,  I
rounded the edges of the oil drain hole.........rightly or wrongly..........is this the "drain mod" ??

A bit simplified !, but the main problem I see with oil drain is indeed at the turbine end, the distance from the
bearing to the piston ring seal is very short compared to the compressor side, also, there is only a crescent
shape exit hole for oil that seeps through the bearing to drain back into the centre of the housing. Not sure how
to improve that hole as you can only see it from the turbine side, and the risk of damage to the piston ring seal
surface in the housing is huge. The actual drain hole in the middle could have the edges rounded off and the
slope smoothed a little..........
