Front strut suspension washer failure                     

Closer examination of the rubber mounts has revealed they are quite out of shape compared to a new one.

Old support, the overlays are square, these show up the deformation quite well, also the centre of the bolt hole 

is not concentric to the steel outer ring.

Old part number 90251358........according to EPC the biggest model these fit is C30NE, so at some time I think

these may have been fitted by mistake, the old washer does not look as if it is 12+ years old.

New part number 90288206 this according to EPC is used on C30SE and saloon 19, there is no lotus specific 

part number for these..........

The washer will not actually fit into the bottom of the support, there is a gap of a couple of mm, surprisingly 

despite the difference between the old and new supports, the gap is only a few mm smaller for the old mount.

I don't have the new washers with me at the moment as they are away for zinc plating.
