Ignition miss-fire
Have been experiencing some ignition miss-fire recently, although the spark plugs were only a few
thousand miles and I was confident that they would be ok, I took the opportunity to replace them
anyway since the charge cooler has to be lifted clear to change the spark plug leads.

These are the old spark plugs.

The leads were sourced from Nebo, they sell 2 types of lead, 1 kind is about £50 which
are same quality as senator/gsi leads and carbon core, they also make a more expensive copper core lead
with correct beru plug cap ends which are a perfect match to OE leads, these cost about £101.00 +vat.

Unfortunately I have just heard that Nebo's supplier for red leads have gone out of business, Nebo
can now only offer black copper core leads.

They are numbered both ends which is useful too!

The beru plug caps are marked with a 1k/ohm, I measured all the leads and found them all to be 1.03k/ohm
I then measured the old leads and found:-

1= 7.96kohm  790mm

2= 7.34kohm  650mm

3= 8.98kohm  790mm

4= 10.46kohm  930mm

5= 10.56kohm  930mm

6= 12.78kohm  1130mm

I know bugger all about electronics, but I'm guessing that the lower resistance copper cored Nebo leads
 should be better ? It might be the old leads are within tolerance for the type they are, one thing that could
have been contributing was that when I was pulling the caps off the coils, one of them came off surprisingly
easily.......looking in the cap ends, some of the round metal clips were oval, as if they had been squashed
with pliers to get more grip, who knows...the new ones are on now.
The acid test is a drive, so a blast around the block, and not one miss-fire !! excellent, I never tried the radio
so lets hope the noise suppression works.
